Can you type at a speed of 45 words per minute? If you answered yes to all the questions, this Senior Legal Typist (SLT) position with the Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) may be for you. DWC within the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) is responsible for the administration of workers' compensation claims and provides services to assist in resolving disputes with claims for workers' compensation benefits. DWC is seeking an individual who is interested in performing meaningful secretarial work and collaborating closely with the Legal Support Supervisor I (LSSI) to manage case assignments. The SLT prepares and serves orders, decisions and correspondence and provides secretarial and clerical support to the Workers' Compensation Judge (WCJ) assigned. Additionally, the SLT works within the Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS) to manage their tasks, process incoming and outgoing documents and manage the judge's calendar.
