They are looking for a highly skilled Security Systems professional to implement, and support integrated security computer systems for nuclear power plant customers.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in physical and cyber security systems integration, regulatory compliance, and operational support in critical infrastructure environments. This role requires a strong understanding of how complex security systems function, including interdependencies across sensors, access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, and monitoring platforms.
This position can work remotely.
Role Description:
This is a full-time role for a Physical and Cyber Security Engineer with work-from-home options available. The Physical and Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing security measures to protect our clients' facilities and networks. Day-to-day tasks will include performing vulnerability assessments, designing and improving security systems, and collaborating with teams to ensure compliance with security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
System Development & Implementation:
- Design, configure, and deploy integrated electronic security systems for nuclear power plant environments.
- Develop secure computer architectures that connect physical security devices (CCTV, access control, alarm sensors) with central Monitoring and command platforms.
- Ensure integration with cybersecurity controls and compliance regulations (e.g., NRC, NEI 08-09 standards).
System Support & Maintenance:
- Provide Tier-2/3 technical support for deployed nuclear security systems.
- Troubleshoot software, hardware, and connectivity issues within integrated systems.
- Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and compliance reporting.
- Document and maintain system operating procedures, manuals, and customer training guides.
Compliance & Security Assurance:
- Ensure deployed solutions satisfy nuclear industry regulations, safeguards, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments on deployed systems.
- Work closely with site security managers, IT staff, and regulatory inspectors to maintain compliance.
Continuous Improvement:
- Research and recommend new technologies to increase resilience, automation, and threat detection capabilities.
- Support lifecycle management, patching, and version-control of deployed software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity engineers, system integrators, and customer stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in design, deployment, or administration of integrated security systems (preferably in critical infrastructure or nuclear/power sectors).
- Hands-on expertise with:
- Access control systems.
- Video Management Systems.
- Perimeter intrusion detection and alarm management systems.
- Industrial computing platforms.
- Strong knowledge of cyber-physical system integration and regulatory requirements for nuclear facilities.
- Familiarity with incident response, system hardening, and security patch management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to write proposals and engage with decision makers.
- Experience with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) physical security requirements.
- Everbridge Control Center.
- Knowledge of NEI cybersecurity guidelines.
- Security Clearance eligibility.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, PSP (Physical Security Professional), or GICSP.

Compensation: 125 -150k, plus sales commission. PTO, Benefits.
