An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.This opportunity applies to applicants legally eligible to work in the United States.Qualifications:MA/MS Degree in Hydrology, geomorphology, landscape ecology, restoration ecology with minimum additional experience of 20 year(s) in Restoration ecologyManagement such as PMP or similar. Highly knowledgeable in creek hydrology, geomorphology, and TE aquatic species in the San Francisco Bay Area. Extensive experience with all aspects of wetland and creek planning, design, and construction (including bid document development, plans and specifications), especially in urban areas. Extensive experience monitoring and reporting of wetland and creek restoration projects Strong skills in communication and interpersonal relations. Ability to hike on steep and uneven terrain in variable weather.Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePointDuties:Enrollee serves as a restoration ecologist for the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in Marin County, CA under the direction of the Park?s Cultural and Natural Resource Management Lead and Aquatic Ecologist and is responsible for assisting with designs, plans, permitting, and monitoring associated with restoration projects in GOGA and primarily within the Redwood Creek and Tennessee Valley watersheds.Assisting in data collection, coordinating and contributing to annual monitoring report for Muir Woods creek restoration40%Assisting in assessment of functions and values of Muir Beach creek and wetland restoration project40%Assist with designs, plans and permitting associated with the Tennessee Valley Dam Removal project15%Provide restoration planning and construction expertise to parkwide projects.5%Other:Health and Safety Considerations: Review of GOGA Aquatic Job Hazard Analyses for in-water work, hiking and fieldworkRequired Safety Gear: Enrollee should have cell phone and PPE such as waders, hip boots, work boots and protective clothing; a radio will be provided for fieldwork.Physical requirements: Work is generally performed in an office setting, with occasional field work involving moderate risks including inclement weather, wet and slippery conditions, steep and uneven terrain, poison oak, and other common hazards found in natural environments.
