This includes extensive patient education, interpretation of clinical results, timely communication with both surgeons and schedulers. Performance of EKGs and MRSA swabs are part of the nurse visit, as well as discharge planning. This is a cardiac surgery clinic, so our patient population is mostly fragile and highly anxious about their surgery and life post op.
