_Our client, a growing food manufacturer, is looking for a skilled QA Specialist to join their team in Orange County, CA!_
**Position Summary**
The QA Specialist is responsible for supporting food safety and quality compliance across food manufacturing operations. This role performs documentation control, conducts lab and sensory evaluations, maintains quality systems, and ensures compliance with regulatory and customer standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining a strong safety and quality culture.
**Pay rate:** $70-$80k annually
**Location:** Orange County, CA
**Job type** : Direct hire
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Execute and enforce Food Safety and Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
+ Maintain and manage the Quality Hold System, including tracking, documentation, and ERP updates.
+ Create and maintain company policies and procedures in Alchemy Software.
+ Serve as a backup for the Alchemy training coordinator and Microbiological plate reading
+ Maintain and update customer and vendor documentation to meet SQF and FSMA standards.
+ Create and distribute Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and other customer-required documents.
+ Scan, verify, and archive quality documents and records accurately.
+ Prepare internal documents, reports, memos, and meeting minutes.
+ Set up and distribute information for sensory evaluations.
+ Collaborate with production teams to support continuous quality and safety improvements.
**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED require
+ Minimum 2 years' experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance
+ HACCP Certification preferred
+ Experience with ERP and WMS systems preferred
+ Technical school certificate or college coursework in a related field is a plus
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
