(Physician/MD qualifications required) Psychiatry (Addiction) - BE|BC Addiction Medicine Psychiatrist for the Inpatient unit. Unit offers acute inpatient care for adults, adolescents (ages 13-17), and to children (ages 6-12). Psychiatrist will have an adult caseload with an avg. of 15 - 18 patients per day.

The Addiction Psychiatrist is an essential member of a multidisciplinary team caring for individuals admitted to facility. The position is responsible for initial, consultation and ongoing psychiatric evaluations, medical management of psychiatric illnesses and substance withdrawal as appropriate. The psychiatrist provides team leadership, support and supervision of psychiatric ARNPs.

The Addiction Psychiatrist determines the need for and carries out consultations with external psychiatric personnel, educates patients individually, participates with other clinical staff on the treatment team, carries out discharge planning, post discharge referral and quality improvement activities. Full Time, Employed position. Very low call requirement. Suboxone waiver required.
