Pay Range: $20.11 - $28.67 per hour

Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Pediatric Care Technician for our Children's Oncology Unit, in our New Brunswick Facility.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) through American Heart Association

Preferred:

  • Previous nursing assistant experience or clinical experience from an accredited nursing program preferred. 
  • Certified nursing assistant preferred.

Scheduling Requirements :

  • Day Shift, 16 hours per week (2 shifts per week during week and some weekends), 7a-3:30p, includes every other weekend and holidays.

Essential Functions:

  • The CCT is a direct patient caregiver who assists patients with activities of daily living and provides nursing care to patients including taking vital signs, EKGS, performing phlebotomy, assisting or providing patients with bedside care, i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care .
  • Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service
  • Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actions
  • Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient’s care
  • Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from ad mission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning
