Job Description

About the role The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure across Swish World Group and its platforms, including SwishHost. Reporting to Infrastructure or Technical Operations leadership, this role ensures reliable, secure, and high-performance networking in a global, remote-first environment. This is a hands-on technical role focused on connectivity, routing, security, and network reliability. Key Responsibilities Network Design & Operations Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure Support routing, switching, firewalling, and VPN connectivity Ensure network availability, performance, and resilience Cloud & Hybrid Networking Support networking in cloud and hybrid environments Manage VPC/VNet networking, peering, and connectivity Troubleshoot complex network issues across environments Security & Access Controls Implement network security controls and segmentation Support firewall rules, access controls, and secure connectivity Work with Security teams on network-related risks and incidents Monitoring & Troubleshooting Monitor network performance and availability Diagnose and resolve network incidents and outages Support incident response and root-cause analysis Documentation & Improvement Maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation Support network audits and reviews Recommend and implement network improvements Expectations Maintain reliable and secure network connectivity Follow operational and security standards Communicate clearly with technical teams and stakeholders Operate effectively in a fully remote environment

Requirements

Experience Proven experience in a network engineering or network operations role Experience managing enterprise or cloud networking environments Experience supporting remote or distributed organisations preferred Experience in hosting, cloud, or infrastructure environments is an advantage Skills Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching) Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security Knowledge of cloud networking concepts Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Clear written and verbal communication abilities Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Networking certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) preferred but not required
