JOB DESCRIPTION
The NetSuite Administrator – SuiteProjects Pro (SPP) role is an opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong project management system expertise, and thrives at enabling Professional Services teams to deliver efficiently. This role will focus on supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the SuiteProjects Pro (SPP) module, ensuring accurate project setup, resource management, billing, and reporting across Vertafore’s enterprise environment. The ideal candidate has prior experience working with NetSuite SPP, PSA, or SRP modules, understands professional services operations, and has a passion for leveraging technology to streamline project delivery and improve business outcomes.
Daily Requirements and Responsibilities:
This position will entail the following roles and responsibilities:
· Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro (SPP).
· Support PS Operations with configuration and maintenance of project templates, resource profiles, billing rules, and project task structures.
· Partner with Professional Services, Finance, and Operations teams to enable accurate project creation, staffing, time tracking, billing, and revenue recognition through system administration.
· Develop and maintain SPP saved searches, dashboards, and reports to provide visibility into project financials, utilization, and profitability.
· Monitor and resolve SPP-related issues from the support ticket queue, escalating to NetSuite Support as needed.
· Support monthly and quarterly project billing cycles, ensuring alignment with customer contracts and revenue recognition rules.
· Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to design and implement enhancements, workflows, and automations within the SPP framework.
· Validate system changes and support QA testing for SPP-related upgrades and releases.
· Serve as a “QA” resource to validate system changes made by your peers.
· Maintain compliance with SOX and internal controls for change management.
· Actively participate and contribute to team sprints and Agile processes and meetings.
· Although the resource will primarily focus on SPP there will be responsibilities related to NetSuite ERP including:
o Performing and managing the execution of our monthly billing process.
o Following and improving upon, existing internal process documentation.
o Complete NetSuite ERP updates and changes as assigned by your manager
Essential skills required for this position:
· Proven experience administering NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro (SPP), PSA, or SRP modules.
· Experience administering NetSuite ERP a plus
· Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management (initiation through closeout), including resource allocation, project billing, and time/expense tracking.
· Ability to create complex saved searches, reports, and dashboards that provide actionable insights for services leaders.
· Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
· Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Self-motivated and capable of working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Ideal skills:
· Hands-on experience with NetSuite SPP configuration
· General knowledge of customization options and limitations within SPP
· Familiarity with NetSuite ERP (GL, Financials, Banking, Payables, and Receivables)
· Familiarity with Celigo or similar middleware for integrations between NetSuite and other enterprise applications.
· Exposure to revenue management (ARM) concepts as they intersect with services billing.
· Prior experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
