My client is seeking a Lead Data Engineer for a full time direct hire position with deep expertise in Python to lead their data platform initiatives. You'll manage a small team while actively building and scaling data infrastructure that powers our business and customer insights.
What You’ll Do:
Lead architecture and development of robust ETL pipelines and data systems
Python, guiding engineering best practices
Collaborate with product and BI teams to enable data-driven features and insights
Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability across cloud infrastructure (AWS, Airflow, Redshift)
Drive innovation and mentor a high-performing data team
What You Bring:
6+ years in data engineering, 2+ years leading teams
Strong experience in Python for data workflows
Solid cloud experience (AWS preferred), Airflow, SQL, and data warehousing
BI/reporting integration experience (e.g. Looker)
Bonus: Docker, Kubernetes, Athena, Snowflake
