The Infusion Nurse is responsible for the safe initiation, administration, monitoring, and discontinuation of infusion therapies. This role encompasses the provision of direct patient care, patient and family education, and ongoing evaluation of clinical outcomes. The Infusion Nurse ensures care is delivered in accordance with established clinical protocols, evidence-based practice, and regulatory standards, while fostering a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to optimize patient outcomes.
Knowledge of or experience with bleeding disorders is not required, as onsite training and education will be provided.

The Opportunity
· Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing patient assessments, including monitoring response to infusion therapy.
· Obtain and maintain peripheral intravenous (IV) and central venous access devices (CVAD) in accordance with institutional protocols.
· Administer intravenous medications and fluids; monitor patients throughout infusion therapy; and accurately document all care and observations in the electronic medical record (EMR).
· Recognize, respond to, and manage adverse drug reactions and infusion-related complications.
· Perform therapeutic phlebotomy procedures as indicated.
· Perform venipunctures with proficiency and adherence to infection control practices.
· Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections in accordance with provider orders.
· Apply advanced knowledge of pharmacology, infusion procedures, infection prevention, and safety protocols; initiate timely interventions in urgent or emergent clinical situations.
· Ensure patient comfort, safety, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality throughout the care process.
· Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and effective communication while maintaining a supportive and welcoming environment for patients and families.
