Hospice RN Administrator

The Hospice Administrator is responsible for the overall management and operation of the hospice organization. This critical role ensures the hospice provides high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their families. This job requires strong knowledge of Hospice regulations (CMS and State), ability and willingness to work hard to bring and keep the organization compliant, educate, train and orient current and new staff, work close with the governing body and outsourced vendors. Must have a good attitude and be able to work long hours. Responsible for the program 24/7, 365 days a year. Candidate must be willing to jump in and "hit the ground running" leading the team and assisting the team as needed to reach goals and maintain compliance. If you have a bad attitude, not a team player or rather get paid to do nothing, this is NOT the job or organization for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospice, including staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to guide the hospice team
• Manage the hospice's financial performance, including budgeting, billing, and cost control
• Collaborate with the medical director and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of the hospice team, including nurses, social workers, and volunteers
• Maintain positive relationships with referral sources, such as hospitals, nursing homes, and physician offices
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics to measure the hospice's effectiveness
• Ensure the hospice complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
• Participate in Administrative On-Call Rotation
• Attend IDG with the team and ensure compliance
• Be willing to Roll-Up your sleeves, put on scrubs and assist with admissions while growing.
• Ability to multi-task, move at a face pace and be tech savvy

Qualifications:

• Must hold an unencumbered Registered Nurse License to practice in Georgia. Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the healthcare or hospice industry
• Strong understanding of hospice philosophy, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to build, retain and lead a high-performing team and foster a professional and kind work environment
• Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and cost control
• Certification in Hospice (CHPN) Preferred
• Must be growth minded and demonstrate strong leadership skills in Operations, Clinical / Regulatory Compliance, and Business Development
• Demonstrate knowledge of the survey process and understand how to respond to surveyors on-site and provide items as asked

Job Type: Full-time

Base Salary Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Bonus Structure Merit based on KPI performance of the organization and work performance

Schedule:

• Schedule is demanding and will require long hours at times as well as Admin on-call rotation. Must be flexible and willing to meet the demands of the job and organization.

• Hospice Progressive Leadership: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• RN License (Required)

Ability to Commute or Relocate:

• Atlanta, GA 30327 (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (Required)

Work Location: In person at the office and on the road throughout service area. This is NOT a work from home position. You will be required to be actively involved with the organization and the team in all aspects.
