JD:

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a 12-month hybrid contract with a leading client in the financial industry. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing software systems while leveraging modern data tools and technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software systems.
• Modify existing applications to fix errors, enhance performance, and adapt to new hardware.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define specifications, performance requirements, and resolve technical issues.
• Conduct system testing and validation procedures.
• Provide guidance on software system maintenance and enhancements.
• Apply architectural expertise to support large-scale projects.

Required Skills & Experience (4+ years):

• Spark3
• Python
• Shell Scripting
• Hadoop Cloudera (Admin, Hadoop tables, HDFS file processing)
• Data & System Architecture
• Data Modeling (Erwin Tool)
• Alation or other data mining/reporting tools

Preferred Skills:

• Agile methodology
• Jira, Git Bash, Jenkins, uDeploy, CA7
• Banking/Financial industry experience
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 6 8 years of software engineering experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
