Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Crystal Lake, Illinois is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
The position will be hired as a project manager to oversee all construction phases, represent the owner(s), and manage and complete the grow-in phase. Upon course opening, the Superintendent shall be responsible for all phases of golf course maintenance and agronomic operations, budget cost control, and personnel management, including but not limited to management of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, rough, clubhouse landscape, flowers, parking lots, equipment, and the Golf Academy. Must manage all plant protectant applications, be licensed with a current Illinois Department of Agriculture Operator’s license, and possess a valid State Driver’s license. The position will work with the managing partner and the owner to ensure the best possible playing conditions and golf experience for our customers and guests.
Requirements:
Possess an A.S., B.S., or Turf School degree with post-graduation golf course management experience.
Previous experience with project management and grow-in is preferred.
Computer, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
Professional manner and appearance in all situations.
Compensation:
$85,000 – $100,000 per year.
