4:30 – 5:30 PM (3rd – 5th Grade)
The Springfield Jewish Community Center is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Fun Fitness Instructor to lead age-appropriate fitness classes for children in grades Pre-K through 5th. This program is designed to introduce youth to the importance of physical activity in a safe, fun, and engaging environment.
Lead structured fitness and movement-based activities for children, tailored to age groups (Pre-K–2nd and 3rd–5th).
Incorporate games, exercises, and team activities that promote coordination, strength, balance, and overall fitness.
Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere where all children feel included and motivated.
Ensure participant safety by supervising activities and maintaining awareness of children’s abilities and needs.
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and JCC staff as needed.
Set up and clean up activity space before and after each class session.
Experience working with children in a fitness, recreation, or educational setting.
Background in physical education, youth sports, dance, recreation, or related field preferred.
Ability to create fun, engaging, and safe fitness activities for different age groups.
Strong communication, patience, and leadership skills.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
