The Staff Pad has partnered with Corporate Contractors, a premier commercial roofing company based in Beloit, Wisconsin, to identify an experienced Crane Operator to join their growing team. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that plays a critical part in the execution of commercial roofing projects.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Roofing Manager, the Crane Operator will be responsible for operating cranes on job sites, transporting materials and equipment, and supporting roofing installations and general construction tasks. This position requires a mix of crane operation, truck driving, and hands-on roofing work in a commercial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate crane equipment to lift and move materials per verbal, written, or signal instruction.
Perform daily inspections of cranes and job site equipment for safety compliance.
Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites in compliance with DOT regulations.
Support demolition and installation of commercial roofing systems.
Mobilize trucks with required materials for daily operations.
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications as needed.
Assist with layout, measurement, and cutting of roofing materials.
Maintain clean and safe job sites.
Uphold and enforce all OSHA and company-specific safety protocols.
Attend and participate in daily/weekly safety meetings and inspections.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of an Apprenticeship Program is preferred.
Minimum 1–3 years of commercial roofing experience and blueprint reading.
At least 5 years of verifiable crane operation experience.
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with auto insurance meeting company standards.
NCCCO Crane Operator certification.
Must complete OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, Forklift, and Aerial certifications within the first year.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to travel to job sites as needed (up to 100% travel).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with safety procedures and construction best practices.
Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
