description
Mativ has openings for paper converting machine helpers (these entry level production positions typically begin in the retail department supporting the retail converting operations).
One of the ways Mativ demonstrates its commitment to you, as an employee, is through its compensation program. Most people think of compensation as direct pay, but employee benefits can be a sizable portion of your total compensation. Mativ maintains a competitive compensation program by benchmarking its program with other companies. Mativ provides a large selection of benefits that help protect your health, wealth, and well-being. The company provides some benefits at no cost to you, some you pay for, and other benefit costs are split between the company and you. The flexibility of the Mativ benefits program helps you create the best benefits program that fits your needs and your lifestyle.
Employees get to choose from a variety of medical plans, dental plans, and vision as well. Employees have company paid short-term disability, wellness programs with health club membership reimbursement program, employee assistance programs, and a 401k with a company match, paid holidays, and vacations. Employee benefits begin on their first day of employment with the company; with paid holidays after 60 days. Mativ offers 12 paid holidays per year.
Employees are also compensated for overtime and shift differential. Employees are paid time and one-half for hours worked more than 8 in one day or more than 40 in one week (other than mutual agreement hours). Employees are also paid double time for hours worked on Sundays. The shift differential is 26¢ for 2nd shift and 52¢ additional for hours worked on 3rd shift. Starting pay is $23.00/hr. Employees work Mon-FRI with O.T. scheduled as needed.
Growth Opportunities
Mativ has grown annually over the last seven years despite a declining industry. This is the direct result of a strong leadership team with a strategic approach. Now is a great time to join the Mativ converting center as the opportunity for job and wage growth is great through expansion and retirement opportunities. Job and wage growth opportunities can happen as early as within six months of employment and include movement to operator roles, our finishing center, our paper mill (also located in Neenah, WI), and within our maintenance apprentice program. Employment opportunities also exist in roles such as customer service, logistics, and operations. Mativ also provides and encourages employees to become involved in opportunities with our safety committees, wellness committees, training teams, and lean manufacturing improvements.
This is an entry level position which rotates within the department to support converting machine operation. Employees will move product, pack boxes, drive powered industrial equipment as part of their duties.
