Job Description

We are building a community for creators with the help of creators! We are looking for energetic, passionate, professional Bartenders/ Mixologists to join the team. We are seeking exceptional individuals who provide a luxurious guest experience- bartenders and mixologists with a background in fine dining and beverage-driven venues. With the opening of our membership club this summer, we are looking to grow our team now! 

The ideal candidate will quickly be able to adapt to the brand, values, and culture of the company, evoking passion and excitement for the process in all involved while providing an upbeat and positive client and team experience. Because we are a small team, we all wear many hats and are happy to roll up our sleeves and lend a hand whenever needed. Can-do attitudes and respectful, inclusive outlooks are greatly valued and expected of all team members.

With the highly-anticipated opening set for Summer 2023, we want to attract the right people. The team will be able to perfect its craft in various Happier spaces, including 99 Scott, 53 Scott, and 154 Scott. Private events at 99 Scott, scheduled for this Spring, will allow the new team to become a cohesive unit and shape a clear vision and understanding of the Happier brand before the planned launch.  

These are full-time positions once 154 Scott opens, and you must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Its raw minimalist architecture and pragmatic design set the tone for an environment to work, create, exercise, nourish, connect, and escape. 154 Scott is a private membership club where an inclusive spirit orients exclusive access. 30,000 sq. ft of facilities, comprised of workspaces, art studios, recording studios, conference rooms, private bars and a restaurant, a Wellness Spa & Gym, a pool, and a rooftop deck. A consciously cultivated community connecting people of different ages, backgrounds, professions, and identities.  

 

Responsibilities  

  • Prepare all standard and specialty cocktails and seasonal specialty cocktail recipes  
  • Support with beer, spirits, and other non-wine beverage inventories and ordering  
  • Manage and assume full responsibility for each guest’s experience from start to finish and respond immediately to guests' needs and requests  
  • Willingness to support the service bar  
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations  
  • Exhibit full knowledge of all food, wine, and spirits to guide guests through the dining experience, as well as build guest relationships and our client base  
  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age  
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies  
  • Maintain clean bar and restaurant and adhere to all health and safety standards  
  • Demonstrate a friendly, high-energy personality with a positive and team-oriented approach  

Requirements:  

  • Substantive bartending experience is required , and a strong knowledge of food, wine & spirits  
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in high-volume, high-intensity establishments  
  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks  
  • Excellent communication skills  
  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean  
  • A genuine passion for restaurant hospitality, service, and craft cocktails  
  • Flexible schedule and open availability to meet business needs  
  • Experience with Toast, Micros, or a similar POS system  
  • Fine Dining: 1 year (Required) 
  • Head Bartender: 2 years (Preferred) 
  • Craft Cocktail Creation: 2 years (Preferred)
