Job Description

To maintain and analyze company financial information in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Qualifications

HYBRID POSITION:

This position is eligible to participate in the Peerless-AV’s Hybrid Work Model.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting desired

Experience:

• Five to seven years of general ledger accounting experience if no degree

Skills/Abilities:

• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong math background
• Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office suite and enterprise software
• Experience with Acumatica prefered and Concur software applications a plus

ESSENTIAL RESULTS:

• Prepare general ledger account and bank reconciliations timely and accurately
• Prepare month-end and year-end journal entries
• Review coding of AP invoices for accuracy, completeness and sales tax compliance
• Provide supporting role to all daily Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
• Prepare year-end schedules for Independent Auditors and assist in the preparation of all other audit functions
• Provide supporting role in completing daily shipments report as well as other daily and monthly reports as requested
• Provide support for and review company expense reports for accuracy and timely payment in Concur
• Responsible for timely monthly sales tax reporting
• Prepare monthly financial reports as assigned
• Assist and support accounting department at EMEA and Latin American Affiliates
• Perform special projects as assigned

PHYSICAL DUTIES:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 
• Occasionally entering plant/warehouse (can range in temperature, humidity and dust levels).
• Must be able to wear required safety PPE.
